Best for: beginners prioritising stability, recreational longboarders and anyone chasing small-wave glide.

The NSP Longboard Elements has lasted in the range because its brief is timeless: paddle easily, trim smoothly and survive years of everyday use. It is not a fragile custom log. It is a dependable moulded-epoxy longboard designed to get recreational surfers into more waves.

On the water

A full rail and single-to-double concave create stability and lift, while a modern performance rocker and sharper tail rails keep the board from feeling completely passive. It catches weak waves early, finds a high trim line without fuss and turns cleanly when the rider steps back. The 8’0 to 9’6 sizes use a versatile 2+1 fin arrangement; the 10’0 is a single-fin cruiser.

Sizes range from 8’0 (56.9L) through 10’0 (92.3L). The 9’0 at 73.2L is the broad all-round choice. Beginners and heavier surfers gain confidence from the 9’6 or 10’0, while experienced riders wanting a more manoeuvrable longboard can look to the 8’0 or 8’6.

Strengths and trade-offs

Elements construction is the headline feature: an EPS SecureCell core, fibreglass shell and full-length stringer deliver excellent ding resistance and consistent shape reproduction. That durability comes with more weight and a less organic flex than a premium PU longboard. Traditionalists may prefer a dedicated noserider, but the NSP is easier to recommend as a single longboard that must learn, cruise and turn.

Public review grab

“Easy to trim… when riding off the tail, the ride characteristics are more dynamic.”

Summary of published NSP rider feedback

Across NSP’s public product feedback, owners most often praise stability, paddle power, durability and value. The recurring trade-off is predictable: its robust construction feels heavier than a premium performance build.

Verdict

Rating: 4.6/5. A high-value Australian-available longboard for learners who want to progress and experienced surfers who want a reliable small-wave board. Buy it for wave count and longevity, not boutique-log delicacy.
