Gear Review: Leus Fitness Towel for Gym and Training Sessions

Strength training has become a regular part of the off-season routine for a lot of competitive surfers, including plenty of the juniors we cover in our competitions section, and a decent gym towel is one of those small details that makes the sessions more bearable. The Leus gym towel has been on high rotation in our kit bag for the last few weeks of training sessions.

It’s more absorbent than the thin gym towels most training bags carry, without the bulk of a full bath towel, which matters when you’re also carrying boots, a drink bottle, and a change of clothes. The antimicrobial finish is the standout feature here, since a gym towel gets used far more often per week than a beach towel and needs to handle that without holding onto odour.

For anyone following our Guide to Watching Surf Comps Live, it’s worth noting that a lot of the athletes on tour train off the water just as much as they surf, and this is the kind of gear that quietly makes that possible.

Is the Leus Gym Towel Worth Adding to Your Bag?

If your week includes gym sessions alongside surf time, the Leus gym towel is a small upgrade that’s easy to justify. It packs down small, dries fast between sessions, and doesn’t need washing after every single visit, which is more than most gym towels can claim.
