Gear Review: Leus Eco Towel for Camping Trips

Camping near the surf usually means one towel doing several jobs: drying off after a swim, wiping down a wetsuit, and occasionally serving as an extra layer around the campfire. The Leus camping eco towel has handled all three on a few recent trips without smelling like a wet dog by day three, which is more than we can say for the towel it replaced.

We packed the Parker Coffin Beach Eco Towel on a weekend camping near the surf spots covered in our Local’s Guide to Surfing the Surf Coast, and its sand-shedding weave made a real difference when the campsite doubled as a sandy car park. Sand shook straight off instead of working its way into the fabric.

The tight cotton weave and smooth velour finish are the reason for that, and the same fabric holds up fine as a picnic blanket or an extra layer over a swag if the night cools down.

Leus towels are available direct from leustowels.com.au, and readers can use code THANKSLEGEND for 40% off at checkout.

Is the Leus Camping Eco Towel Worth Packing?

If your camping trips revolve around dawn surf checks and sandy car parks, the Leus camping eco towel earns its space in the swag. It dries fast, sheds sand, and doubles as a blanket when the temperature drops, which is about as much as you can ask from one towel on a multi-day trip.
